Creation pushing ahead with plans for ALMS 2010 full season
Since Le Mans, those of you who check in on this website will be aware that we are currently 'below the radar' - continuing with development as we work towards a full season of ALMS racing in the coming year. Progress was slowed due to the only recent announcement by the ACO on 'frontal aero' changes, so we are working on that aspect now also.
"We certainly haven't been standing still" comments Andy Woolgar, Creation's Commercial Manager and 'man on the ground' in the USA. "We're working diligently behind the scenes back in the UK, developing the chassis and aero packages, and all the signs are extremely positive for a very much more competitive package for 2010. The direction towards the ALMS is strategic; the championship offers a great deal to a small manufacturer like Creation. We can bring a competitive proposition capable of outright race wins, as things stand. In Europe its extremely hard to achieve that.
In comparison to the ALMS' new feeder series (using Formula Le Mans cars) we offer a much more competitive proposition, in my mind. We are experienced at running our cars, they are P1's, therefore outright race wins and podiums are there for the taking, and ultimately the figures I've been quoted to run such a car in comparison to ours are remarkably similar. So for me it's a 'no brainer".
Drivers
"I'm very interested to hear from funded drivers of a high calibre, to race with us next year. As of now I am speaking to a lot of interested parties and we aim to firm things up by Christmas".
