QUICK RACE REPORT....... Spa-Francorchamps, one of the world's best race tracks is nestled in the mountains of the Ardenne, flanked by the towns of 'Spa', 'Francorchamps' and 'Malmedy'. This was the scene of round 3 of the LMS. Due to the accident in the previous race Creation-AIM brought only 1 car to the Spa 1000kms, for Robbie Kerr and Stuart Hall to share. Hall continued his ways and set a time good enough for 11th place on the grid. The season was quickly becoming a division between those who had 'diesel' power (the factory Audi and Peugeot teams making for 4 cars) and those with regular 'pterol' driven engines. So, being the media in general decided to call LMP1 classes 'diesel' and 'petrol' that meant we were 7th on the 'petrol' grid! Needless to say, we were entering the race to win outright, and coming off the back of a strong showing in Monza the team spirit was high. A fuel system problem prevented us from taking part in the warm up, but that in itself was rectified in time for the race. Stuart got us underway and set about making early progress up through the field, which he did and by the end of his stint he was inside the top 10. Kerr then took over but was forced into the pits with a small problem that cost the team several placings. The 2 British drivers were then faced with a mountain to climb-from p19 to a decent finishing spot. They knuckled down and relability thereafter was strong, but the final finishing position of 10th was not a true reflection of what might have been.
